Installed iOS on iPad and asked for six digit pass code and she only has four digits how did she open the iPad dock

MY friend is 84 and has an Apple ID and password and is very frustrated as she cannot use her IPad which she relys on it
I believe you're asked to set up a new 6 digit passcode. Fortunately it can be changed back to 4 digits is you want.

HI thanks for this but she cannot access the password has been disabled and just shows the 6 figure passcode pad and she doesn't have a 6 figure number so I think we will have to reset the whole iPad and start again all because she at 85 got confused with the download from iOS !!!
You're welcome. You're correct you need to start over. I added a lnk to Apple's paper below. When setting it up why not go for no passcode ? . If your friend just uses her iPad at home a passcode is a needleess headache.

When she has to pick a new password ask her to use her date of birth

When she has got it set back up where it says passcode you can
