Q: MacBook completely shuts down every time I open Photo.  HELP!

Not sure why this is happening.  Every time I click on the Photo icon to open the app, MacBook completely shuts down.  I've taken it in to the Genius Bar (no problems show up in diagnostics) and I've done the Command+Option repair and the shutdown still happens.  Anyone else have this problem?

As the info in Your Products is wrong (see last line of your question above), I will have to ask you to specify what OS you are running, and hence, what version of Photos (v.1.1, for instance, comes with El Capitan; v.1.0.1 with Yosemite 10.10.5, and v.1 with Yosemite 10.10.3).

You might have to reinstall the OS in order to get Photos back working properly.

But first, I suggest that you download and run Etrecheck and publish the results here, so we can see what might be a cause.
