help with unix ls and -d command

I need to find any folder whose name starts with text_returned

text_returned = "JB"

I have a folder named like this:

"256_SSD/Users/shawn/Desktop/Features Codes/JB - Julie Blim"

this code does not work:

set yy to (do shell script "ls -d '/volumes/256_SSD/Users/shawn/Desktop/Features Codes/" & text_returned & "' '*")

can anyone see what I am doing wrong

figured it out

set yy to (do shell script "ls -d '/volumes/256_SSD/Users/shawn/Desktop/Features Codes/" & text_returned & "'*")

Try using find:

set text_returned to "JB"

set tt to (do shell script "find '/volumes/256_SSD/Users/shawn/Desktop/Features Codes/' -type d -iname " & text_returned)
