I have a user that even when quitting TeamViewer, he is not able to select Always Allow.

Whenever I request a keychain confirmation, I get up and I click with the mouse that has the Mac.That is all.

I had the issue where I was unable to select "always allow" on keychain prompts for office 2016. I did not modify the keychain in any way and this is a completely fresh restore of OSX 10.11.1 from recovery (I did initially upgrade the unit to 10.11.1 from 10.11 prior to the recovery)
for me the problem was caused by LogMeIn rescue software that was running on the machine (was using it to make some documentation processes easier). I used the LMI utility to close all connections, then I quit the rescue application all together via the application's menu at the top of the screen. I was then able to select "always allow"
this possibility was brought to my attention by @josemaria_cr earlier in this thread. his comment about some software generating "synthetic clicks" is right on the money and seems to be the root cause for most of the users on this thread.
keep in mind that remote access software like this likes to stick around incase you use things like unattended access. it is likely that: unless you terminate the application and its processes 100% you will continue to have this problem. there is even a good chance this software will start up again and persist through a reboot.
I am not sure if TeamViewer is as clean as LMI when a session is ended. I know LMI has the capability to completely remove itself after a session is finished. regardless I would focus on team viewer, as that is likely still the cause of this problem for you.

Nov 29, 2015 7:14 AM in response to Walmoby James Altemus,I'm relatively new to Mac (I purchased this Mac Book Air in September) so this issue sort of caught me off guard. After reading through this and other posts about this issue with the keychain and trying various things, nothing seemed to work so I started poking around on my own. What I found when I went to Keychain Access, selected Preferences and then selected First Aid was that the option to "Synchronize login keychain password with account" was unchecked.

I checked the option, closed everything, reboot for good measure and not only was I finally able to get iCloud to accept my recently reset password, but the pop-ups also stopped. So far, so good. YMMV.

Here is the route to reset Keychains:
Select Finder (top left) by the Apple icon and depress Finder whilst Depressing ALT on keyboard at the same time.
This should then open into LIBRARY folder.
Drag the Keychains folder onto the desktop.
Then Re-Boot.
Mine all came back perfectly. Good luck.....

I think you mean: Open Finder, then hold down the Alt key while clicking the "Go" menu, and then choose the "Library" option (which only appears while the Alt key is being held down).

So:

Was quite frustrated with the Keychain problem as I could not open either Excel or Word after installing and rebooting. Tried your fix and it worked great for me on El Capitan 11.11.1. Thank you!

Dec 4, 2015 9:20 PM in response to Walmoby Troy ,I don't believe this is a glitch or a bug, but a security feature, like SIP or GateKeeper. It seems that the latest version of El Capitan (10.11.1) has made the Keychain more secure by disabling any synthetic clicking ability in Keychains by apps that it does not recognize. For passwords that were created before the update, they still work fine. But for passwords that were created after the update, there is an issue. This could be one or more apps on your computer that cause the problem. For me, it was BetterTouchTool. As soon as I quit BetterTouchTool, the Keychain worked as it should again. I was able to click on the "Always Allow" or the "Allow" just fine. If you cannot find which app is causing the problem and you still need to access a password that you created after the update, press the return key instead of clicking "Allow" and it should also work until you can find the app causing the problem. What's nice is that once I'm done with the Keychain, I can just launch BetterTouchTool again. Problem solved. I hope this helps.

In my case it was from using Synergy (keyboard/mouse sharer) from another machine. If I connect a physical keyboard and mouse to the mini the keychain items open as they should.
