Prevent iPhone apps from using Apple TV AirPlay

I play Spotify from my iPhone 6 through Apple TV using Airplay. That works great. The trouble is when I'm using Safari or Facebook on my iPhone at the same time, and a video appears on a website or on Facebook, Spotify will pause, and the video will show up on my TV, even if I don't select it. Is there a way to prevent certain apps from automatically sending content to my Apple TV so Spotify will keep on playing when I'm doing something as simple as browsing in Safari? Many thanks.
