Hello Aperture Community,
Since El Capitan, when trying to import in Aperture, the import window remains blank.
When plugging an iPhone or iPad, the message at the bottom says "Loading assets" an nothing happens.
Any hint?

It seems to be an issue with the Photos app that is preventing Aperture from importing. Let photos open and then click on the checkbox at the top of the window to prevent it from opening automatically for this device next time. Then just shutdown and restart everything. Worked for me.
Try to make a new library and do the same. does it work?

- I tried with a new library : Did not work better
- I unchecked the automatic load box in Photos : Did not work better
What I noticed though is that import from a Camera is still working.
Still investigating... 😠
try to reinstal Aperture. Move Aperture.app to the trash and download from the store again
