Purchasing iTunes music via iPad.

Why does it appear that I cannot purchase music from iTunes on my iPad air 2? The iPad syncs all of my previously purchased music (on my iMac) fine and the music seems to play fine. I did once (in 2010) purchase an album on an old iPad that then synced to my iMac and stayed there but cannot seem to figure out how it is done now. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

You tell us. What happens when you try to purchase music in the iTunes app on the iPad? If you purchased an album in 2010 from iTunes, you should be able to download it again in the purchased tab of the iTunes Store as long as you are using the same Apple ID that you used to make the purchase and as long as the album is still available in the iTunes store.

You can transfer purchase from the iPad to the computer using iTunes of you want to get your purchased music into iTunes.
