iTunes cannot sync photos to iPhone due to Photos Library not available

User uploaded file

The above error message has come up a week ago and I have not been able to download photos from my iMac (late 2013) to my iPhone 6 Plus, although uploading from my iPhone to the iMac are perfectly functional. Anyone has an idea how to solve this?

I am all updated with the latest and greatest regarding OS on above devices.

Much appreciated for your input.

I had the same issue but didn't have photos synced with iCloud.

See iTunes cannot sync photos to the iPhone because your photo library is not yet available. Please try again later??

Downloading iTunes again solved the problem for me. I left the iPad plugged in: at the end of the download the iPad was successfully synced.

iTune 12.3.1.23 before and after the download. I suspect a cache or preference file was refreshed by the download.
