Q: How do I move photos from my old MacBook to my new macbook

I have an older generation laptop in which I've had for a few years now. Of course, it's run itself to the end and I just purchased a MacBook Air. Now, all my stuff is on my old laptop and want it transferred to my new one. How can I go about doing this? Does it need to be done in an apple store?

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2013), iOS 9.0.2

Set old Mac as file sharing server with check off System Preferences > Sharing > File sharing, then connect from new MacBook Air to copy files.

You should remember that shared Folder is your old Mac home directory and set it as read/write.
