Thunderbolt Bridge

A new network interface popped up called Thunderbolt Bridge when i tried to check my settings. What is this? I don't want to confirm configuration until i know its safe. I have a Macbook Pro. Can't remember which operating system I'm on. I'm very Apple illiterate. I was trying to check my settings because I received the "another computer is using this IP address" error and now i can't check my settings without confirming this Thunderbolt thing! Help!
