Apple Mail El Capitan

I upgraded to El Capitan, but now my Mail application get stuck at importing messages. I left it running for 20 minutes or more in it just remain stuck. I tried researching other solutions on the net but none of them have worked.

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), iOS 9.0.2, Actually OS X 10.11

After several tries, I disabled Mail in System Preferences > iCloud. I opened Mail again and it went through its process of downloading my Mail from the server. I then re-enabled Mail, and I was good to go.
