My iPhone is bricked.

I've had my iPhone 4s for a good while now. Never had any issues with it. One day, I noticed that my storage was quite full and I wanted to clear some space. I saved all my photos to the cloud and backed up important files and what not. I was going to restore it, but, that turned out to not work at all. Every time I try to restore my phone, it says, "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (-1)." I've looked all over the internet but couldn't find anything. I just want to know if I can do anything. Before you write a response, please note that I have disabled all antiviruses on my laptop, my internet is just fine, I have the most current version of iTunes, I've tried it with and without my firewall, I don't have any viruses, I've done this many times before on this phone, the cables are just fine, I've tried restarting my laptop and tried again multiple times, and I've been trying this since iOS 8.4. Thank you for your time.

Check for hardware issues

Errors: 1, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 53, 56, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.

Your device or computer might have a hardware issue that stops the update or restore from completing.

  1. Check that your security software and settings aren't blocking your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
  2. Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
  3. Make sure that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
  4. If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

If you still see the error message, check for outdated or modified software.
