iPhone 6S Plus 'Stuck' at Waiting for items to copy...

Hi there,

Just took delivery of my shiny new iPhone 6S Plus today and started transferring from my prior 6 Plus by restoring from the backup on my PC. Sync took a while as expected but now seems to be stuck on "Syncing Music to "iPhone 6p" (Step 5 of 5).

It's been about 90 minutes at this stage and still 'stuck'. Any suggestions? Do I continue to wait... and if so, how long do you recon it'll take? If I stop and pull the plug on this thing am I hosed and have to start all over again...?

Hi

Yes i would stop it if you have iCloud back up

Do set up over your wifi

If you have a problem setup iphone has a new iphone

Then download ios 9.0.2

Then restore back to factory settings

Then setup again over your WiFi and use iCloud back to

I did the same thing i use a backup from August

And it works fine.

Hi all,

This was my solution:

1.cancelled the sync between Itunes and my new 6splus
This did not stop the "waiting for items... " message so on the iphone I went to Settings > General > Itunes Wi-fi Sync and pressed "cancel Sync" there. This cancelled theSync in Itunes on my pc.
I pressed Sync Now on the iphone and it started looking for apps to sync. It found some and synched them.
I repeated the same "Sync Now" and "Cancel Sync" until all the apps that were "waiting" had downloaded: there was no more "waiting for items to copy .." message in the end.

I had the exact same problem. I tried several things but simply going into the settings on my iPhone 6 plus and canceling the sync, then touching "Sync now" worked! Now I am able to sync via my USB again too. Strange... Thanks guy!!
