Jetdrive Lite 130 Macbook Air El Capitan

I am using a Transcend Jetdrive Lite in my MacBook Air Mid-2013

The drive auto ejects the SD-Card the moment i open the lid of my MacBook, that is when it goes to sleep mode.

Does the Jetdrive Toolbox still works on OS X 10.11 El Capitan? Thanks

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11)

To solve this just proceed installing the Jetdrive Toolbox provided by Transcend (http://es.transcend-info.com/Support/Software-181/).

One of the given functionalities is precisely to manage Power Save (helps you save power by automatically ejecting your JetDrive Lite before the Mac enters Standby mode and remount it when the Mac wakes up).

I do hope it helps.

I'm having problems with mine as well. My computer will randomly reboot itself, give the computer has discovered an error and is rebooting message. Usually its after I shutdown and restart the computer with the Jetdrive in it. I think this problem is probably along the same lines as your issue. I removed the Jetdrive from my computer and haven't had one problem for over two weeks. The issues started right after upgrading to El Capitan. I haven't been able to find any help or work arounds for it yet.

Same thing for me with a MBP retina 15', mid 2014 since i upgraded on El capitan

It reboots each time i want to wake up from the stand by... with the same Kernel panic message (USB storage... )

and a message that i have restarted due to a problem....

I use a Transcend Jetdrive Lite 360, 128 Go... which sure causes this problem

I've been experiencing the same errors— the "Kernel Extensions in backtrace" segment of my crash report looks exactly the same as the panic log posted above. Suspected it was something to do with the JetDrive Toolbox— good to have that confirmed.

For those of you still using your JetDrives— how are you managing? Are you just manually ejecting the card before shutting down (and reinserting on wake)?

Has anyone used http://appgineers.de/mountain/ ? It promises to be capable of the same auto-mount/unmount feature that Transcend's toolbox supports. I'd tried it before I installed JetDrive Toolbox, but moved on because I was experiencing a problem with the card not mounting properly (which I've since realised was more likely to be due to the way I'd formatted the card...)

Nov 22, 2015 1:45 PM in response to ronald_dc

I have installed JDT 1.14.1 which is the post-El Capitan update (very annoying that there is no date and no revision history from Transcend). The good news is that in three days and many sleep episodes, I have not had a kernel panic. I have, however, had two restarts which, except for the panic report, do look a lot like the previous restarts.

So . . . a bit of a mixed bag. Much improved (I was getting 6 to 7 kernel panics a day) but possibly some lingering issues. I have not yet dug into the logs to see what prompted the restart and if I can make any sense of it, I'll post again.
