i have ried to reset my ipad but it is not resetting i have done what it has adviced but no luck just have black screen now with itunes symbol

i have tried to reset my ipad because it was doing actions by itself but when i did it took a long time and then said it could not reset and gave me options to try i have tried all of them and no luck my ipad now has a black screen with the itunes symbol and a charger on the screen and it wont respond to anything now how can i get my ipad to work again
