I don't like the idea that the iPad Pro is 1.57 pounds!

I just watched a video about the features of the upcoming iPad Pro, and having a keyboard and stylus type accessory for it sounds nice, but it's 1.57 pounds, which is 0.03 more than the first iPad ever! It says it is "light and epic" but actually I think it's only light for a tablet that big. Can't it be lighter? It's really annoying how it has to be 1.57 pounds, which is about almost the same as the very first iPad. I really liked the idea how the iPad Air and Air 2 are about the same height and width as the very first iPad, yet they are a lot lighter and thinner, but why does the iPad Pro have to be 1.57 pounds? Is it because of its size? I really don't like the idea of how it's about the same weight as the iPad from 2010, and I wish it'd be a lot lighter like the iPad Air and iPad Air 2. The iPad Pro is already thin like the iPad Air and iPad Air 2, but it's a lot less lighter than those two iPads! Just please, I like the idea of the Pro but not the idea of its weight!

Yeah, I suspect it is because of its size, and under the circumstances, not at all an unreasonable weight. But it isn't something anyone here can do anything about since this is a user-to-user technical support forum. You are not addressing Apple. You can offer Apple feedback here.

Is there a particular component of the iPad Pro that you think could be removed to lighten it to meet your expectations? Battery? A couple ICs? A capacitor or two? Plastic case as opposed to aluminum? Plastic screen as opposed to glass?

But I like the 10 hour battery life! The only thing I don't like about the iPad Pro is the weight...

The weight is what it is (or will be, since it is not yet available). There is nothing anyone here can do to change it. And very little (VERY) that Apple will change it until and if a second version eventually is released.

Honestly, find something else to worry about.

How on earth would something that much bigger than an iPad Air 2 weigh the same or even less? The Air 2 is already just under 1 pound (.96 -. 98 lb).

Its going to be larger that the original iPad. Has all the extra pressure sensitive devices in the screen, and has a larger battery to accommodate the larger screen's power requirements and still maintain the same battery life as previous models.

I think its pretty reasonable for it to be half a pound heavier.
