Your Mac should also allow you to Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support.
2011 models do not support Windows 10 due to lack of certified drivers. You may still be able to upgrade to W10.

Oct 12, 2015 7:39 AM in response to Bobin89by Loner T,Your 2011 Mac will not support USB Installer using ISO. You need to use your internal built-in Optical drive and burn the ISO to a physical DVD. An external Optical drive will not work.
