Hello all,
23" Cinema display miniDP connected to my thunder bolt. I'm running El Capitan on a Mid 2011 mini. The display blinks black for a second then comes back on. This happens multiple times a day. This is the first use of a used display. Any software thoughts? Could be the display but I want to rule out easy first. Does the display have firmware independent of the Mac?
Mac mini, OS X El Capitan (10.11), 16 GB ram, 250 SSD
Does the display work OK on another computer?
Does another mini displayport monitor work OK on the Mini?

Thank you, I am leaning towards a faulty display. I have a second cinema display in the thunderbolt and so far no blinking. I will let it cook all day and see. Thanks for pointing me to the cinema section.
