iPhone 6 Calendar touch screen issues

Not sure if others are having issues..I have a 6 and my OS 9.0.1. When I want to look at or book an event on my calendar, I have to tap very hard on the date in the calendar in order for it to open up. If the date that I'm tapping doesn't work I try another date and when that finally opens, I then have to scroll to the date I want to look at. This started happening about a week ago, it's very frustrating. I have turned my phone off , restarted , when I do that it works ok for a while, then it starts happening all over again.
