turning off store password requirements on mac

Every time I log into iTunes and try to update my apps, I go to the store preferences and have to turn of the "require after 15 minutes". Even after I've don't that, I continue to get the pop up that asks me if I want to require a password after 15 minutes. This makes it difficult to walk away from the computer when trying to update apps.

Please help me permanently turn this function off.
