Mac Rumors says Aperture, along with some other apps, are now going to work with El Capitan. The App Store says it is necessary to update my "purchased Aperture" then proceed. I am unable to do an update because there isn't any Aperture app found. Please help.

The rumor sites strike again with wrong information.
There is no problem whatsoever to run iPhoto and Aperture on El Capitan as long as your Mac has the latest version installed.
iPhoto seems to work fine. Aperturre is my nemisis!
I have a correction: neither iPhoto nor Aperture will update. The App Store says items are currently unavailable.
Search the forums, this has been covered every day for months.
Hint: Delete the applications, and download the latest versions via the App Store's Purchases tab.
Apple recently announced that Aperture and other apps removed with installation of El Capitan. The App Store says no.
