Q: I cannot play iTunes music on my mac that I've purchased - shows songs but says "cannot find" - same songs exist and play on my iPhone - where's the music in my computer?  I tried downloading purchased iTunes songs again, but no change

I cannot play iTunes music on my mac that I've purchased - it shows all of my purchased songs in the iTunes library but says "cannot find" when I try to play them.  The same songs exist AND play on my iPhone - but where's the music in my computer?  I tried downloading purchased iTunes songs again, but it made no changes.

I'm afraid of syncing my iPhone to the mac and losing the songs on my iPhone!

I also have a Sonos system for playing the music, but the missing music won't play through Sonos either.  All the information (artists, songs, titles, etc) shows up on the iTunes index, but the songs won't play, and the same songs/ information disappeared from my Sonos library (but they once were there!)

…seems like something got removed from my music folder that held all this information - if so, can I re-create what I need?
