Can not find my ringtones or alert tones on my new 6s. I can not restore them and I do not want to purchase them again any help?
You should be storing them on your computer.
Just since them to your iPhone.
I have only backed my phone up to icloud. I plugged my phone into my iMac this morning to see if I could transfer tones over that way and the only tones that existed were ones that I had created. I did not see any ringtones that I had purchased nor did I see any alert tones.
I have learned through speaking with Apple support that Alert Tones and Ring Tones are a one time purchase and unless you purchase them from a desktop and sync your device this way or restore from a back up, you no longer have access to the tones that have been purchased.
Personally I think this is pretty crappy that I paid for something and can not simply re-download these tones to my newly purchased clean device.
