MacBook Pro problem with DVI KVM

I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch retina display (2014) running El Capitan and am having problems getting it to work with an IOGear GCS1104 DVI KVM switch and a Dell 2407WFP monitor. The MacBook is connected to the KVM switch with a Thunderbolt-to-DVI adapter. When I select the MacBook on the switch, the display is not recognized. If I plug the MacBook directly into the monitor it works fine. Any ideas? Thanks.

Check to see if there is a firmware update for the KVM. The manufacturer's website should have a list of compatible devices it will work with also. If there are any drivers, or software installed, make sure it's the latest version.

Good luck
