as the title shows. Word just shuts when I open it. The display says trying to access recent docs for about 2 secs then closes. Have tried rebooting but no difference.

Tried this. Now it will not let me re-install the app. It just gives me the update button in the app store, I clock it and nothing happens. the word app no longer exists and I cannot load it again?
Work closes when opening and then trying to access recent. XL and other office apps are fine
