Fuzzy sound coming out from right speaker

Hi there,

Recently the right speaker of my Early 2013,15 inch Retina MBP start making fuzzy sounds when I play something(music,video,any audio). I haven't drop it and no liquid spill has happened before 😟. Does anyone here has a solution to it? Can someone tell me if it's a hardware problem or a software problem. Thanks in advance.

Plat a monaural sound signal and then switch from one speaker to the other. If there is still noticeable distortion, the speaker is probably defective and should be replaced.

Import a monaural recording into iTunes. It does not have to be music. You can make a recording using Garageband. Just make certain that both channels are identical.

I just discovered yesterday I have the same issue with my right speaker and I have the same exact unit as you thats what brought me here to this forum.

My MBR late 2013 right speaker started distortion yesterday. It's getting worse today. The sound distortion is really bad. I only play video from youtube and use medium volume.

Can this be fix or replaced by Apple?
