Ical - not allowing me to edits events

Using Ical on my Imac and Iphone and & iPad and after El Capitan update it will not allow me to edit previous and shared events with a work partner even though I'm the organiser can anyone help with this issue as we use this for business and its rather annoying has anyone else experienced the same issue ?

You can delete the events but cannot edit previously generated or shared events.
