iOS 9.0.2 will not add airdropped PDFs to iBooks

At the moment, it's not possible to save any PDFs to iBooks on my iPhone 6S Plus. When I AirDrop a PDF to the phone,

the option to add it to my iBooks appears but when I select it, it does not happen - the PDF is missing from my

documents. Any ideas / experiences / solutions? Many thanks beforehand.
