Last year I used a GoPro in my car. Some clips are upside-down (I forgot to correct this in advance).
Can I correct those clips in FCP-X so that I can view the clips before editing?
When I transfer the clips to the timeline I can correct their position. In the same time the clips are also adjusted in the browser. But, when I then remove the clips from the timeline, they also are removed from the browser!
That's not what I want.

TThere is a flipped effect that should do what you want if you open the clip in the timeline.
Select the clip in the browser and choose 'Open in Timeline' from the 'Clip' menu (or control-click the clip and choose 'Open in Timeline' from the context menu).
Select the video part of the clip, go the Effects browser, go to the Distortion category and double-click the 'Flipped' effect. In the inspector, set the Direction to Vertical.

Remove the clip from the timeline? What are you doing? The timeline is just a panel in the FCP window. You don't have to do anything. Just open something else into the timeline, another clip, a project.
