Hello chris555s,

I understand that Maps isn't showing your location on your iPad 2. Fortunately there are a few steps that can help get your iPad 2 to properly recognize where it is that you are.

  1. Tap Settings > Privacy > Location Services and make sure that Location Services and Maps are turned on.
  2. Make sure that you've set the date, time, and time zone correctly on your device. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time. If possible, use Set Automatically.
  3. Restart your device.
  4. Make sure that cellular data or Wi-Fi is on.
  5. Try a different location or switch to a different Wi-Fi network.

Location Services uses GPS, Bluetooth, and crowd-sourced Wi-Fi hotspot and cell tower locations to determine your location. Learn more about Location Services on your iOS device.
