iPhone 5s not automatically backing up in iOS 9.0.2

No matter what I do my 5s will no longer back up to my iCloud account when it is connected to power and wifi, and locked. When I try to manually force the backup, it fails after about 1 or 2 minutes. I have tried reset, restart, checked my settings in the cloud, and it still fails. Help.
