Change iPhone 6 icloud email address

My email address has changed and my old one has been closed due to a hacker. I have changed my email address online for my Apple account, but also need to change it on my phone.

Right now a window on my phone keeps popping up for me to sign into iCloud with the old email address already filled in. I canno remeber my passowrd to sign into iCloud and change the email address so I would have to select the option of sending me to password reset. That would not work since the old email adress is closed and I would not receive an email.

When you go into setting and try to change the iCloud email address is is in grey and you cannot change it.

How do I get the new email address into my iPhone 6 for iCloud?

The Old AppleID is still active in the iPhone so what you need to do is call "Apple Care" and ask them to send you an iForgot email. They can send this email to every email address you want. The email will take 24 hours to get to you and the Link to reset the Password will be active for 3 hours.

I called but I have not purchased a service agreement so they won't help unless I do. Any other ideas?

Thank you for the idea. My old email address is not recognized. There is no sense to change anything for my new email/Apple ID because it works. I just can't change it in my phone for iCloud.

Go to Settings>>iCloud sign out and sign back in. The password you used previously will work for the old email to sign out. Sign in using the new email.

The problem is the password on the old email address is not working. If I go in to reset it, Apple does not recognize the old email address.

Is this "email" logged in as an iCloud account or just as an email account?

Call them again and tell them you have a Problem with your AppleID, Apple Care MUST grant an Exception if the AppleID is affected. If they don't want to do it ask for the Supervisor, you will be transfered to the Second Level and they will help you.
