DVD File sizes ?

I have made a DVD from a 1920 x 1080 HD 25p timeline/project using share in FCPX (v10.2.2), and the resulting file size for the video is 720 x 576.

As I was hoping to get a file size of 1920 x 1080, I tried making it again using Compressor (v4.2.1).

In the inspector pane I tried to modify the file size settings properties, but found that it only showed two choices of file size - the 720 x 576 (that I already got from the share DVD output in FCPX), and 720 x 480 (or Automatic).

Is it possible to create a DVD with a file size of 1920 x 1080, and if so could anyone give me a prompt as to how this could be done ?

Thanks,

Fred

Not possible. DVD is an SD standard.

To create HD disks, use Share>Blu Ray. You will need a Blu Ray burner, And a BD player.
