I Have a mid 2010 27" Imac with 4GZ Ram. I'd like to increase it, is it mandatory to get the same speed 1333 DDR or can I get a higher speed?

You must use RAM that exactly matches the requirements of your iMac. Note that Macs are particularly fussy about the RAM they use so be sure to purchase RAM from a respectable and trusted source that will guarantee the RAM they sell. My source for RAM is Other World Computing. Here's a link to their RAM selector page for iMacs.

Another good source for Mac RAM is Crucial.
