Windows Emulator for MacBook Pro

I have a Mac Book Pro 2015 with Yosemite OS. I want to run Molecular visualiser software, namely DS Visualiser and DS ActiveX control. Theres are only available for Windows 7 64 bit, and RedHat Linux v7. I have a disc copy of windows 7. Can I use a Windows Emulator to run the DS software. If so what might be the best.

You can use virtualization software like VMWare Fusion, Parallels, or the free VirtualBox, or you can install Windows in a separate partition and dual boot between Windows and OS X using Boot Camp.

The "best" solution will depend on how resource hungry the application is, how often and intensely you have to use it, and how much RAM and CPU power you have.
