itunes calendar server will not sync iphone calendar to outlook

I recently updated my iPhone 5s to iOS 9.02. I am using iTunes 12.3 (64 bit) on a windows 10 laptop. Now my outlook calendar will not sync to the iPhone. iTunes gives me an error message which states that 'iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone." This is a recent problem: I have not had trouble previously with syncing the calendars.

Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks
