my ipod touch 4g is not recognized by computer (windows 8) and itunes but it's charging when I plug it in. what to do? already did everything that's said here:

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic. Different contacts are used for charging and data
- Try on another computer.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Hi..I tried to connect it many many times before, but nothing works. iTunes 12.1.2 is the version of my itunes. I tried many cables too. Everytime I connect it, it only says "USB Device Not Recognized" so I troubleshoot it. Nothing happens. it says that its not working properly. says "device descriptor request failed." What to do? thanks 😟
