Podcast cover art refuses to update. What am I doing wrong?

Our podcast's cover art refuses to update. I know this is a common issue, but I've made sure it fulfills every criteria that I can find and can't for the life of me figure out why it still won't update.

Did you change the image filename? It's essential to do this, because the Store caches the image and so won't know it's changed if the filename remains the same. And when did you change it? It can take quite some days for a changed image to appear - I don't know why. The image itself appears to be OK.

Thanks for replying.

We have changed the file name and it has been more than a few days. We've changed it every week or so for the last couple months, actually, uploading different versions of the image under different file names trying to see if it changes, and it still hasn't updated for any of them.

Could it be the "RBG color space" or "server that accepts http head requests" issue? I'm not certain how to verify either of those, but web-sniffer.net seems to say we can accept http head requests...

The image currently in the feed is 1600 x 1600 and RGB, but the file size is 529kB. It must be less than 500 kB so this one won't be accepted anyway.

I can't check for head requests but as you say you have done so, I should revise the image to be less than 500kB, with yet another filename, change the feed, and then just leave it in place. It can take longer than a week sometimes - I've no idea why - and I suppose if you keep changing it you keep going to the back of the queue, so to speak.

Can't believe I overlooked the file size part for that one.

I did what you said and uploaded another that's well under 500kb, with yet another new file name: http://powerhour.alexepstein.com/wp-content/uploads/powerpress/um4iNi1-335.jpg

That's also in RGB, correct?
