Q: Why is apple music not working on new Macbook Pro??

I keep getting "An Error Occurred" and then prompted to click OK.

I am part of Family Sharing and my Apple Music is working perfectly fine on my iPhone. I have tried restarting, force quit and even keep checking for any further updates. No luck... Wifi went at home one day and went asked to sign back in the error kept coming up.

Please help.

Cheers!

    Hello there, brianfitz08.

It sounds like you may have had issues setting up Apple Music on your MacBook Pro after setting up Family Sharing.

Anytime you may think there is an issue with any of Apple Services, the place to check is the System Status page.

Apple - Support - System Status

The page allows you to verify things a couple days back to see if there were any outages when you were experiencing the issue.

If you find the issue persists, the feel free to review the recommendations outlined in the following Knowledge Base article:

Join Apple Music - Apple Support

    1. Open iTunes. Make sure that you have the latest version.
    2. In the upper-left corner, click the Music   icon.
    3. From the top of iTunes, click For You.
    4. Click Start 3-Month Free Trial.
    5. Select Individual or Family membership, then click Next.
    6. If prompted, enter your Apple ID and password that you use with the iTunes Store. If you don't have an Apple ID, click Create Account.
    7. You might be asked to validate your billing info. After you add a payment method, click Join. You can use store credit to pay for your Apple Music membership, but you must have enough store credit for your first renewal.
    8. If prompted, agree to the terms and conditions.
    9. Choose genres and artists that you like.
