office 365 public folders for ipads

I have a client who uses nothing but apple products and we recently switch them to office 2011.

So I they use the public folders to share contacts, calendars, notes, etc.

Which I cannot get the public folders to work on their ipads and iphones.
I'm not sure why this would'nt work on the ipads and iphones but would work on the mac

books and boxes etc.

A solution or a work around for this would be nice because their VPs really need it when out of the office and about.

I tried the Office app, Ive tried adding it as exchange, imap, owa, etc. I really need a work around for this asap.
