"Disable scrolling view" grayed out

"Disable scrolling view" grayed out

Hey, I'm creating my first book in iBooks Author and I can't turn off scrolling view. Is there something obvious I'm missing? The option - both in the inspector and under "view" - is disabled.

are you using landscape or portrait template? i've only used landscape so far, but my understanding is that this option is not applicable to portrait mode templates.

lots can be learned by reading the doc in support under iba. i should do so also.
