Every time I try to reset my AppleID Password it comes up with "An unknown error has occurred" It has been like this for months. Why is this?

I answer every single security question correctly with my AppleID account but no matter what, every time I click enter the message "an unknown error has occurred". It's been like this for months and I don't understand why. I have tried resetting my password on different devices, from different locations but still get the same response. I would reset through email but I have forgotten the password to that as well. I don't know what to do, why wont apple let me reset my password, is their a solution to this problem or will I have to create a new account? Please answer.

Welcome to the Apple community.

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.

You will need to show patience with the procedure and be prepared to demonstrate without question that the account belongs to you. Don’t expect access to be restored immediately and if you aren’t the owner of the Apple ID registered to the device the account won’t be reset.
