Are you trying to install Pages from the Mac App Store?

Only for new purchased Mac, how old is yours?
It is not part of OSX, it is a separate installation, which Apple does on new Macs.
If you don't have a new Mac from after September 2013 or did not own iWork '09 before that date, you will need to pay for the latest iWork Apps.
In which case it is better to buy a boxed iWork '09 set from Amazon for about US$20 and upgrade from that.
iWork '09 is the superior software anyway.
