Deleting emails from phone but not server

I seem to be having issues now that I have updated with the new IOS 9.0.2. I read an email on my phone and archive it but then when I go to my computer, it is no longer there. I used to have it set where I had to archive it off of the computer too. This is the setting I want. I want to have to archive it on both devices. I have gmail if that makes a difference.
