Powerpoint to Keynote Conversion Issues

When I open powerpoint presentation files with keynote, I often lose multiple images and figures that were on the original powerpoint file. When I open the same presentation through powerpoint, there are no issues. Keynote often converts tables incorrectly as well. Is there a setting that can make powerpoint to keynote conversions more reliable?
