I have a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.9.5
I scanned a document using my HP6700 and can't locate where it saved. Once I asked for it to be saved on the Desktop, and the second time in documents. But can't find it. Can someone help, please ?

Use Spotlight and search for it.
I have the same problem and tried Spotlight, but it doesn't show up there either.

Spotlight is not a place, it is a search device, and if your scan does not show up in it then its not in your Mac. What did you file it as, and where did you file it.
I know Spotlight not a place, I just meant it didn't show up. I saved it as a PDF on my desktop, and tried rebooting both the MacBook and the printer. I've scanned things before with no problems.
