What do you do when you lose the passcode to unlock the IMAC
What passcode? Macs don't use passcodes.

When using the AP Find My Phone, to lock the IMAC you put in a passcode, and I have forgotten the code i have used.
You pay for a call to AppleCare and ask them.
Once you locate your Mac, you can unlock it by entering your passcode on the lock screen. If you forget your passcode, you'll need to take your Mac to an Apple Authorized Service Provider along with your proof of purchase.

If you don't have a proof of purchase, Apple's response is that, since this is a security feature, they won't disable it for you and you'll have to erase your Mac.
