How to play only the selected clip (and not the one above)

Hello,

I select a clip in the time line and when I hit "/" ("Play Selection") on my keyboard, FCPX starts to play the clip but then jumps to the clip that's positioned above (which would be normal when I want to play the final movie).

Is there a trick that I can exclusively play only my selected clip? I tried the "Solo" button but it did not help. I'm using FCPX 10.0.6 and I'm a beginner.

Please help. Thanks,

Martin

Select the clip that you don't want to see and hit the V key.

This Disables/Enables a clip.
