Q: iPhone Error 53
Hello everyone! I am (was) using an iPhone 6 (Only 4 MONTHS) and recently while updating to ios 9.0.1 via iTunes the device got stuck in a boot loop indicating Error 53. After contacting my buyer , I was informed that the issue is due to liquid damage, of which I am certain having not occurred. The buyer further informed me that the diagnosis is based upon from the report from Apple Repair center. More importantly my fingerprint scanner stopped responding few days before the aforementioned incident and every time i tried to activate fingerprint scanner via settings, a message indicating "failed" appeared on the screen. Huge (Unprecedented) reduction of battery life was also noticed simultaneously during the last few days of my device.
1. Is it possible to cause error 53 due to water damage?
2. Is there a possibility to confirm the issue from Apple directly?
