Blur on resize in Split view

When resizing windows in split view the unfocused window is blurred. Anyone know how to turn this off?

This design is quite hard to understand. Of course when resizing I need to see the contents of both windows. The blurring doesn't even seem to have a purpose besides telling me which window is in focus... Which, of course, doesn't matter when resizing two windows relative to each other. Doea anyone get the point of this?
